Maxwell Farms Organic Produce

Maxwell Farms organic crop production benefits significantly from our expertise in growing quality vegetables using environmentally friendly methods of farming.

Of course, in the North East of Scotland the climate and growing conditions give organic crops a head start; a cleaner, fresher environment, high rainfall and long cool days through the growing season are just a few of the advantages it offers. 

Organics are grown in separate fields, away from our conventional crops, with carrots taking up around 80% production, beetroot around 10% and swede and parsnips taking up the remaining 10%. Further developments in the near future include plans for an organic farm shop.

We're always trialing new crops and how they perform under strict organic conditions.  Trial crops at the moment include broccoli, lettuce, savoy cabbage and cauliflower.
